Cast & Crew

I’m Jim Allen Jackson and as a comic actor it is my job to find the funny in all situations.  I’ve been fortunate enough to do this in a number of commercials, television shows, and web series such as Finest Hour, Are You Serious and The Quarter Lifers.

I have played everyone from a wacky self-absorbed brain surgeon to a quiet insecure college professor and everything in between!  I love playing physical comedy and transforming fully into any quirky character possible for a given project.

I have studied improv and sketch comedy with ACME Comedy Theater, John Michalsk, Martha Melinda, and Monkey Butler.  I’ve also studied stand-up comedy with Greg Dean, Tony Stone, and Stanly Myron Handelman.

I have been blessed to have been inspired by such classic comedians as Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, and Laurel & Hardy.  this has led me to create several one person shows where I paid tribute to legendary George Burns, Don Knotts, and my mentor Red Skelton.

I’ve had the honor of being happily married to my best friend and soul mate for a number of years.  We have known each other since I first tripped in the door of our high school drama class.  We have been having FUN ever since!!!

I am currently co-producing the new wacky web series Walter Walters Presents.  Where I play a would be journalist with a horrific speech impediment.  Who travels in search of his next big news story that will hopefully land him on network television or at least on an unknown cable channel.  With only his best intentions, he finds his interviewees to be more inept than he is.

I am John Keating and I have had the privilege of acting onstage at such prestigious theatres as the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, in commercials, on television and also on the big screen in the independent film “Night Before the Wedding”.

I’ve performed in everything from classical Shakespeare to television comedy to commercials to feature film.  My favorite genre to perform in is comedy.  Whether being the straight man or the “crooked” man, making people laugh is a hoot.

I’ve studied the craft of acting with Ellen Geer, Robert Cohen, Brian Cutler, Andy Garrison, and Steve Eastin.  I’ve studied improv and performed with Kansas City’s own Full Frontal Comedy and in Los Angeles I have studied long form improv with Monkey Butler/Mosaic Comedy.

I like to consider myself a Movie Star/Producer like my favorite role model of the same ilk, Cary Grant.  I not only admire Mr. Grant for his accomplishments as a movie icon but also for his acumen as a businessman in this art form called “Show Business”.  I aspire to mirror his success in accumulating what he called “horizontal money”.  (A term that was coined by his good friend Quincy Jones when Mr. Jones was inspired by Mr. Grant’s success as a movie producer in creating residual income.)

In addition to a love of film comedy and loving to make people laugh, I am an avid martial artist, studying the art of Okinawan Go Ju Ryu Karate since my early days in college.  I am currently the President of our martial arts club, Okinawan Karate Do Go Ju Ryu Tokai Juku USA and I have the pleasure of organizing our club’s annual seminar in the spring.  (With lots of help from our Executive Committee and Board of Directors.)

I am currently helping to produce the comedy web series “Walter Walters presents”.  In addition to producing I have had the opportunity to work in front of and behind the camera in the capacities that have included writing and directing.

Clara Mae Golidy-Holmes:

I was Born and reared in Louisiana, USA. My mom, Clara, was also born in La; a housekeeper who would take in white shirts from the Dry Cleaners to wash and press. My father came from Mississippi. He was a Lumberjack. I am the fourth of six children. As far back as I can remember I was cutting up and showing off my skills as a little performer. Early on I was acting and soon I was placed before the family and asked to sing, dance or even to tell a story. Before long, I was reciting little speeches at local church functions where onlookers and others would cheer me on. During this time in my young life “rejection” was not a word found within my vocabulary. My often-instant rewards of coins and donated dollars cupped within my hands announced acceptance and gratitude for my performances. Early in elementary school I’d continue to participate within groups of performers in grade level productions. I was no longer a solo performer. I had to share the accolades with the masses of other children. At home I wrote skits and directed them with my two younger siblings and neighborhood kids as my cast of actors.
Now, after retiring from many years of working within the school system, I have returned to Acting. I’m boasting of conquests as a stage and movie performer and have added several commercials to my credits, as well as having been on TV episodes of long running shows.
Acting, cooking and sewing are all very important to me. Collectively, three things hold a special place for me: First is love of God, followed by my family, husband, children, and granddaughters. And I love performing comedy and drama.
